Breeding Policy
The process of successfully breeding an alpaca has been practiced with success for many years now. With the onset of the breeding season just around the corner, we as breeders should be planning well in advance for what we are about to embark upon. The Alpaca Trading Company over the years has developed a superior breeding program. We work with renowned veterinarians in the alpaca industry to solve any breeding problems we might encounter. Our goal is to provide your breeding females with excellent care while they are guests on our farm, get them pregnant and returned to you quickly and safely. Crias at side are no problem. They receive the same care our crias get including regular weighing and monitoring! Some of our policies are outlined below:
- 60 day cria survival guarantee, if a cria is lost, we will rebreed your female!
- Up to 90 days of free board
- Free ultrasounds to confirm pregnancy

Herdsire Leasing Program
We are offering a new and exciting program at The Alpaca Trading Company! This gives you limited breedings on your farm for a period of 30-90 days or more! This will help get new genetics into your herd!

The Alpaca Trading Company can help you select the best herdsire for you to lease! This is your business, and apart from your initial female purchase decision, the herdsire match is about the most critical long term success decision you will make. Special off season rates are also available.
Herdsire Breeding Packages
This year is our first time in offering a limited Breeding Package. We are offering only 2 packages of each 5 or 10 breedings! We have breedings packaged in either 5 or 10 breeding increments. We will provide a free consultation in evaluating your females and help choose the appropriate sires to help you succeed in the alpaca business and reach your breeding goals!
You will be able to choose any 5 or 10 breeding from any of our males that stand here at The Alpaca Trading Company. (Excluding Accoyo Torbio) Or you may choose that all breedings are to one particular herdsire!
Package of 5 breedings $12,000
The highest value of the 5 pack of breedings is a $22,500 value! We also offer financing for 2 years at 5% interest on the package. You have 2 years to use your 5 breedings.
Package of 10 breedings $ 22,000
The highest value of the 10 pack of breedings in a $45,000 value! We also offer financing for 3 years at 8% interest on the package. You have 3 years to use your 10 breedings.
